James Austin holds a Bachelors degree in Administration of Justice, followed
 
  with fifteen years in public and private law enforcement before starting his  
  second career with a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Missouri -  
  Kansas City. He has practiced Immigration Law exclusively since November,  
  1991, and is in his eleventh year as an Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law  
  at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.  
     
  Mr. Austin has been actively involved with the American Immigration Lawyers  
  Association and has Chaired several national committees, including the  
  National Benefit Center Liaison Committee, Paralegal Certification Task  
  Force, New Board Member Orientation Committee and the Atlanta  
    Fundamentals conference. Mr. Austin is dedicated to elevating the immigration    
    knowledge of his students and collegues through authorship and appearances    
    as a panelist at over thirty legal conferences and seminars.
